Rubber Neck Gaskets PMTD And The Covers For Them
With the crossings under the railway roads and highways, other utility facilities, there is a need to protect the main pipelines.
Rubber Neck Gaskets PMTD can successfully fulfill this function and provide a reliable sealing between a pipe and the casing.
PMTD Types
The product is manufacture for the pipelines with a diameter of 57 - 1,420 mm. The diameter of the casing is within the range of 219 - 1,720 mm. This protective device can be used in any climatic zones at –40 - +60°С.
PMTD can be of the following types:
- separable cone-shaped (additional label for it is R). It has a truncated cone shape, 2 ring areas and lengthwise cone joint. It is connected with a clay of 88НП and 88СА brands;
- non-separable cone-shaped (no additional labeling). It is similar to the previous product. It has no joint and is connected with straps;
- pressed gofferred (additional label for it is GP). Its shape is a gofferred ring. It is connected with zap-straps;
- cone-shaped with the holes for telecommunication cables (additional label for it is OKS). It is truncated cone-shaped with ring areas.
A bend (one or several ones) together with the gasket is considered to be one construction.
It is fixed with zap-straps.
Gofferred rubber products PMTD-GP-OKS with a bend are also manufactured.
Cover for a Neck Gasket
To protect the neck gasket from damages, a special protective cover for a
fiber glass water-tight neck gasket UZMG is manufactured. Casing and flanges for
rubber neck gasket cover are molded from fiber glass saturated with polyester resin; a ring is made from a spiral composite sleeve. When assembled, the ring is glued. The gaskets are made from needle punched non-woven fabric, the zap-straps are made from 12Х18Н9Т steel grade. The fixing is coated with an anti-corrosion substance. The housing is sewn with a synthetic thread on industrial sewing machines. When contacting with oxygen and water, UZMG does not ignite, explode, is eco- and human health - friendly. When stored, direct light, aggressive media and their vapors must be avoided.
